Corporate Partnerships

The Koru Foundation is working in partnership with the European renewable energy industry to provide funding and expertise for projects in the developing world.

We seek corporate partners who show:

• Clear corporate commitments at executive level to environmental and social responsibility
• Commitment to uphold the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
• Excellence in health and safety standards
• Commitment to work towards sustainable development

Potential donors and partners are assessed by the trustees on a case-by-case basis. Reasons for not accepting the donation of a company by trustees would normally be:

• That the donor’s activities are in direct conflict with the objectives and/or mission of the charity
• That the donor’s activities are perceived by the trustees to cause negative publicity for the Foundation
• To ensure companies could not use their relationship with the Foundation as media green-wash with which to improve their public image
• That the company, subsidiary or parent engages in manufacture or transfer of armaments or torture equipment
