About Us
Tackling poverty Through Renewable Energy
Our climate is changing and it is the world’s poorest people who are hardest hit. Renewable Energy provides an appropriate, long term solution that improves a community’s access to health, education and employment opportunities without contributing further to climate change.
The Koru Foundation is the official charity of the British and European Wind Energy Associations (BWEA + EWEA) and focuses entirely on supporting the development of poor communities through renewable energy projects. Working with the renewable energy industry We act as the link between the renewable energy industry and poor communities in the developing world, by funding and facilitating projects in partnership with local communities, governments and development organisations. We also carry out research projects to improve the delivery and efficiency of renewable energy systems.
